The songwriting on this is so beautifully sad, with a classic jazz sensibility. It really feels like the chords step in where words fail, spelling out everything left unsaid.
Holding it all together is this warm, tight trip-hop infused groove, steady and focused the whole way through. And when that delivery comes in, it’s something else. So clean and direct it feels like it’s happening right in the room with you, every tiny detail and emotion tunnelled straight through to you.
