The bustling Adelphi Theatre, usually packed to the brim, had a different vibe that night. Tuesdays at Adelphi Theatre are always special, a break from their main production. Let’s dive into it. The band was gradually unveiled, featuring three horns, bass, guitar, drums, keys, and three vocalists. They engaged in lively banter with the audience, adding a comedic twist to the evening. In addition to the Elvis’s hits, they treated us to timeless covers, including Sinatra’s “My Way.” The band displayed remarkable cohesion and skill, while Ben Portsmouth, embodying Elvis, never failed to amaze.
Our verdict: It is a great night for Elvis fans and an excellent introduction for the younger crowd, less acquainted with Elvis’s extensive catalogue. Go watch it!
